Carlos Salas is a Venezuelan fitness trainer, calisthenics coach and entrepreneur based in Toronto, Canada. Over the last 8 years, he’s had the opportunity to train with some of the most recognized calisthenics athletes in the world, facilitate grass roots workshops and run group classes in Toronto’s top fitness studios. He is also the founder of Calisthenics Canada, the national federation that enables calisthenics growth across the country. He runs his own online personal training business, Fit Calisthenics, through which he helps people worldwide get in shape and reclaim their health.
Since quitting his graphic design full-time job in 2015 to pursue his entrepreneurial career in fitness, Carlos has organized more than 30 calisthenics community events bringing together over 500 people and worked with brands such as Vector, Subway, Reebok, RYU, V8, among others.
Carlos has also been a vehicle for countless hours of community service in the Hispanic-Canadian community and part of large scale fitness events such as Envida, City Shred, Actify and HIIT the 6ix.
He’s been a key player in the development of a boutique fitness facility with 2 locations in Toronto by leading their brand and marketing, and has been featured on CP24 Breakfast Television, Global News, Notable Life, Huff Post, La Guía, Toronto Guardian, among others for his efforts in growing the calisthenics movement locally, his expertise in fitness and his drive as an entrepreneur.
A proud Venezuelan, his mission is to be living proof that being an immigrant is an asset and not a limitation, that a balanced lifestyle with a good attitude creates happiness and that success in fitness and life is about continual growth.
